I am a literary enthusiast and a keen writer. I love to tinker with words to create smooth, easy to read and well-balanced sentences. Hence my love of poetry, but also of well-written prose and other kind of stories.
Well Educated in Translation and Writing
I have an MA in literature, I took a BSc-level translation skills course, and to further improve my writing skills and understand, I recently took a course in writing commercial texts.
Expertise: Marketing, Technical, and Literature
My main areas of expertise as translator are: marketing (transcreation), technical, and literature. And as a former desk editor for an international publishing house I can also be of benefit for your publishing project. Next to translation projects, I also edit texts, translations and written by Dutch native speakers. About 50% of my workload involves editing.
Recent projects
I have translated multiple marketing research reports, in particular about the benefits of different IT platforms, such as Azure and Google for Education, for small, medium and large companies, and institutions.
I edit translations of assembly instructions for a client.
For almost 7 years, I have worked as a translator for a Fortune 500 company. For them, I have translated mostly technical and HR documents.
As a translator, I'm involved in a transcreation project for a global online retailer.
And I have been hired as a linguistic expert to support an AI project.
